Arts and Business Council of Greater Philadelphia: A Case Study

Problem: This small non-profit released a detailed RFP for combining multiple systems into a single system. The organization hoped to eliminate duplicate data entry, shadow systems and many of the “work-arounds” developed to manage data and generate reports in their legacy systems.

Challenge: Identify, procure and implement an alternative database to the Council’s current data management system. The conversion of the existing data and training of a group of non-technical users in the use of the system as implemented were considered to be critical components of this initiative.

Solution: The Buan Consultants quickly deployed a fully functioning system for tracking four discreet business processes within a single database. The data has been imported and additional customer portal customization provides a visually compelling interface for volunteers interactions with the organization.

Benefits/Results: The users have been trained and are beginning pilot the system.
