Salesforce1 Lightening Is Introduced at Dreamforce ’14

Salesforce1 Lightning – a new, exciting way to quickly build custom components for any type of device – was introduced at this year’s Dreamforce to rapturous reviews. Lightning’s components, complete with custom user interfaces, can be written for any type of device in minutes. It was designed with the ease of use to help business owners write simple apps quickly, while at the same time having the complexity to attract seasoned developers.

With Lightning App Builder, anyone can build apps in minutes, for every type of screen shape and size, all from one canvas.

Lightning Components allows customers to use components pre-built by Salesforce, components built by partners, components from AppExchange, or they can build their own custom Lightning Components.

Lightning Process Builder allows anyone to build enterprise workflows and visually automate complex processes in just a few clicks.  Lightning Process Builder can be used for daily activities, such as sending follow up email reminders, assigning tasks, and submitting requests for approval, as well as more complex processes like employee orientation and order fulfillment.

Developers no longer have to waste hours managing and reformatting data in massive tables. With Lightning Schema Builder, they can now quickly add new custom objects and fields, and map relationships, all without any code.

With Lightning Connect, users can access and incorporate data from legacy systems such as SAP, Microsoft, and Oracle – in real time.  Long integration times are a thing of the past.

Lightning Community Designer makes it simple and quick to build communities that connect customers, partners and employees.

Developers, customers, and partners alike can now use the new Lightning framework to build custom components and quickly create a custom application for any device.
