Salesforce Business Analyst
Position Summary
The Salesforce Business Analyst is responsible for assisting on client projects to facilitate discovery, requirements elicitation, and management of project documentation. This position works closely with engagement managers, practice leads and other consultants to support the implementation of business solutions utilizing Salesforce.com and related applications on the Force.com platform and may perform various administrative functions.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to gather, analyze, prioritize, and refine business requirements
- Create business analysis documentation including use cases, usage scenarios, process flows, data dictionaries, requirements traceability matrices, design documents, and project schedules
- Interface with engagement managers to assist in the develop of project strategy and design
- Assist functional leads by creating and maintaining objects, fields, fieldsets, record types, page layouts, permission sets, approval processes, user roles, profiles, groups, sharing rules, workflows, and validation rules
- Perform data cleansing, data uploads and data exports
- Develop and create customized reports and dashboards
- Proactively resolve and/or escalate project issues
- Produce training materials and participate in client training activities
- Participate in weekly client stand-up meetings, business process reviews and design/discovery workshops
- Develop and present change requests for out-of-scope requests
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience working as a Salesforce system admin or Salesforce Business Analyst
- Salesforce Admin certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Solid understanding of Salesforce’s capabilities and limitations and can articulate those to clients and internal staff
- Ability to elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, use cases and workflow analysis
- Strong presentation, technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
- Experience with HTML is a plus
