The Sales Engineer (SE) reports directly to the Director of Professional Services, with a dotted line to Sales. The overall role of the SE will be to provide support as the primary pre-sale technical resource working in concert with both the CEO & VP of Sales to close service opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT Management, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent; advanced degree desirable
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Sales Engineer in a related industry
  • Excellent business strategy and planning skills
  • Must have good written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Drive and self-motivation to focus on results and helping to hit target goals
  • Product knowledge and technical understanding of Cloud-based software (preferably
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office — Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and desktop conferencing
  • Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) business process knowledge a nice to have but not required

Job Responsibilities

  • Attend sales calls as directed by Buan Consulting’s CEO & Vice President of Sales
  • Lead Scoping calls in order to develop Level of Effort (LOE) estimates for Buan Consulting Professional Services
  • Write Services descriptions for Buan Consulting Statements of Work
  • Participate in proposal presentations along with Buan Consulting’s CEO or VP of Sales
  • Develop Sales Collateral to support Buan Consulting Service Offerings
  • Develop technical sales strategy to support Opportunity pursuits
  • Lead account planning/road mapping sessions with current targeted Buan Consulting clients to grow SFDC/Buan Consulting footprint within the account
  • Lead Q&A sessions with SFDC installed base clients designed to upgrade them from PE to EE
  • Develop and SteelBrick CPQ demos/prototypes for mutually agreeable opportunity pursuits
  • Participate in Sales Transition to Delivery Lead Consultant meetings for won opportunities
  • Work with delivery to develop new Buan Consulting Service Offerings and/or Industry specific solutions
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs,
  • Build and maintain a Buan Consulting RFP Response Library
  • Ability to work remotely in a home office environment, occasional travel may be required
