Account Executive (Chicago, IL)

Position Summary:
Buan Consulting works with companies to overcome key challenges they face in growing revenue, delivering compelling customer service/experiences, and optimizing operations by leveraging cloud based solutions delivered on the platform.

This individual contributor position is responsible for generating business at new accounts and expanding business within named existing accounts. It is a mix of hunting/direct selling and joint selling by leveraging Buan’s partner ecosystem and internal subject matter experts. An AE is expected to develop a trusted relationship with clients at executive levels of the organization, to help build a vision for ongoing business improvement, enabled by Buan’s services and capabilities.

The Account Executive reports directly to the VP of Sales.

Required Qualifications:

  • Location Chicago, IL
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have strong communication, writing & presentation skills
    Strong work ethic with the ability to successfully manage numerous sales opportunities to completion in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Prior experience in management consulting or value-driven technology consulting is a plus.
  • Candidates with prior experience in SaaS or On Demand Industry especially within the ecosystem are highly desirable.
  • An existing and transferrable rolodex of relationships with key accounts is a huge plus.
  • Experience with is a must.
  • Experience in selling or consulting on Configure Price Quote (CPQ) solutions is highly desirable.
  • Unwavering dedication to creating value for customers by delivering cloud-based solutions.
  • Located and able to work in the U.S. from office in Chicago, IL and able to travel as required to develop relationships and close business

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet, and exceed, services booking quota
  • Accurately forecast new sales within a specified territory or within named account.
  • Actively pursue and hunt for new business opportunities in named accounts
  • Develop and execute against a sales strategy/territory plan
  • Manage a successful sales process which includes:
    • Taking a leadership role by directing key Customer personnel (including
      understanding their internal processes & managing their expectations), personnel, and Buan resources.
    • Negotiations/financial/Budget
    • Business Terms
    • Qualifying
    • Objection Handling
  • Holistically understand an account’s current cloud infrastructure and help shape
    future plans to move to cloud-based solutions.
  • Become a trusted advisor for assigned portfolio of accounts.
  • Co-sell and work collaboratively with Buan’s partners and internal subject matter
  • Understand the competitive landscape and Buan’s differentiators to effectively
    communicate our value proposition and compelling value in competitive situations.
