Company Overview: Unity Technologies is the creator of Unity, an intuitive and flexible development platform used to make wildly creative and intelligently interactive 3D and 2D content. The “author once, deploy everywhere” capability ensures developers can publish to all of the most popular platforms.  Unity Technologies boasts a thriving community of over 2 million registered developers including large publishers, indie studios, students and hobbyists. Unity Technologies aggressively re-invests in its award-winning 3D development tools and democratization initiatives, such as the Asset Store digital content marketplace and Union game distribution service, in order to remain at the forefront of innovation.

Problem: Unity Technologies did not have a current integration between CLM and Salesforce, On Demand and Supply Templates weren’t merging any Salesforce.com Data from accounts or Opportunities and legal process was all completed outside of Salesforce and was long and tedious.  Unity’s Document folder structure was unorganized so files were not easy to locate and there was no eSignature functionality in place so the time to finalize documents was lengthy.

Solution: Buan integrated SpringCM into Salesforce to create a central repository for documents to easily file, store and locate documents.  We implemented SpringCM’s FileIt application to then organize documents automatically by Accounts and Opportunities so that all documents and files are now in one central location and linked to the corresponding Opportunity.   Using SpringCM Doc Launcher, we merged Account and Opportunity fields into templates and created workflows to streamline processes for legal reviews of NDA’s and we integrated DocuSign with SpringCM to streamline eSignature processes for external and internal parties for a quicker turn around time.

Benefits/Results: Legal review process takes significantly less time and users can see the status of reviews in real time.  Document management is now in one central place within Salesforce and sales and legal teams are more efficient with less turn around time than before.
