Problem: iCore is a national voice over IP provider which has recently expanded the service level agreements offered to their clients. They needed three fully customized partner portals using Visualforce to enhance look and feel to match their website.
Challenge: Each portal needed Apex coded triggers to drive dashboard elements, customer specific logos and data summary elements on the homepage. The current security settings would not allow them to provide appropriate access to their portal users.
Solution: Rework the architecture to include Master Detail relationships and adjust the security and sharing rules to limit access to portal users. Create Visualforce pages based on the current style sheets and deploy provide SLA specific access to appropriate data.
Benefits/Results: Quick turnaround and basic education to their staff on Visualforce and Apex triggers will allow them to quickly deploy appropriate SLA driven customer portal access to their customers.
